Testing Procedure

Testing chlamydial infection with this at-home Chlamydia Test is safe and very easy.

Above all, it is anonymous. You carry out the analysis by yourself.

You need to follow a simple 3-step testing procedure:

  1. Collect a swab sample from the vagina.
  2. Mix the swab sample with a buffer into suspension.
  3. Apply the mixture on the testing device.

Then you need to wait 15 minutes for the result.

Interpretation of the Results

The result is interpreted visually as positive, negative or invalid.

The Colour intensity of the test line and control line can be different. If the line is visible, you should take the result into account.

Positive result: Control (C) and Test (T) lines appear.

  1. Consult with your doctor about further steps.
  2. Do not panic.
  3. Keep in mind that chlamydia is treatable with antibiotics.

Negative result: Only a Control line (C) appears.

  • It is very likely that you do not have chlamydia.
  • If symptoms persist, consult your doctor for laboratory examination.

No, man cannot use this test. The test is designed only for women to collect a specimen from the vagina.

When should you get tested for chlamydia?

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease. You should get tested for chlamydia especially if you have had unprotected sex, you shared sex toys, your genitals came in contact with other people genitals, infected semen or vaginal discharge came in touch with your eyes.

Experts recommend testing for chlamydia every year mainly to sexually active individuals under 25 or when changing a sexual partner.1

When should you not use the test?

You should not use the at-home Chlamydia Test during pregnancy, during your monthly period and three days after the end of the period, if you have a urinary tract infection.
